About me
I am a technology lawyer and also an experienced digital business entrepreneur. Previously, I have worked with clients in North America, Europe and Asia and helped technology companies to navigate the ever increasing legal and regulatory challenges in the highly regulated European single market.
My legal education at bachelor’s level was obtained in London (UK) and I further specialized in EU technology law with a master degree (LL.M.) in Law and Technology from Tilburg University (Netherlands).
Currently, I am providing firms, and technology companies in particular, with expert EU legal advice in technology related matters such as:
- the training of Large Language Models (LLM’s)
- the use and development of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Ai)
- Intellectual Property law (IP) issues arising at the intersection with technology
- the regulation of digital markets
- Antitrust & merger control issues involving technology
Additionally, both my business and computer science background permit me to gain a holistic understanding of operational challenges faced by my clients as I am uniquely placed to understand underlying economic as well as technical issues.
At the moment I offer all my consulting services in English, German and Spanish or any combination thereof.
How I Work With You
Every firm and situation is different and I adopt to the specific needs you encounter.
Interim / Contract Counsel
As a long term trusted advisor on your side I am readily available to provide instant advice and guidance to your company when needed. A retainer agreement secures your access to advice without black-out periods.
On a Project Basis
After defining the scope of a specific project involving EU law issues encountered by your firm, I will closely work with your team to identify and resolve the particular challenge at hand within a set time frame.
On Demand
Uncertainty about technical EU legal stipulations often leads to operational issues that can quickly turn into difficult legal situations. If your team has well-defined technology related legal questions I can support the team with one-off ad hoc legal advice.
Document Drafting
Drafting adequate SAAS contracts, service level agreements, partner agreements or other relevant documents. I will study and analyze your firm’s particular situation and draft according documents tailored to your specific needs.
